Because when people say these things it's not usually out of genuine concern for the person they're saying it to. It's so they could give themselves a way out & feel better about themselves by feeling they offered something helpful when in fact they offered nothing.
If you’re going to tell a disabled person to “try harder” to access support or there “must be help”… You should be required to offer them help yourself. Bring some groceries. Drive them to a doctors appt. Help them clean. If you’re not willing, Why are you so sure others are?

I could swear to God that January feels like just a month ago & that March was only last week. This is insane & disconcerting especially when you were trying hard to keep up. Only people who struggle with anxiety can understand how seriously threatening this feels.
