Going to get back to finishing up Project Delta soon, still recovering from concussion -> flu -> coughing flaring up chronic neck pain. Hoping to be back in action by next week

Thinking back on: "First make it exist, then make it great" I found I need 3 steps: 1. Exist: rough room structure/tiles 2. Work: enemies, platforms, function 3. Great: parallax, details, polish Got stuck jumping to beauty too soon: Structure -> Function -> Form feels right

Some days you just gotta commit to completing those "big bugs" that feel like they're going to require a lot of work. Had about 5 of those that really left me with a gloomy dread-like feeling every time I play tested. Was actually able to resolve all of them in a few hours and…

Been really having a good time playing the new Kirby Air Riders. Brings back a lot of good memories. The core engine is so fun I can imagine there's a lot of room for innovation here. Really excited that there are several indie devs (@kasdorf_w, @chaomix) working on games…

While it's tough to maintain the passion and inspiration for finishing a project which I started 6 years ago, What's getting my inertia moving now is gratitude. I'm feeling grateful for the work I put in to study the structure of Super Metroid, the full procedural engine I've…
