One thing I miss about #Evangelical #Christianity is the anthropomorphized god I worshipped. This often centered on Jesus, which is not good for a good Trinitarian.

open.substack.com/pub/latitudina… This was a difficult piece for me to write.

There is an old saying. Never speak ill of the dead. OK. James Dobson is dead. Good.

#PrideMonth is over and I take time to reflect. Being bisexual and a Christian often seems like an oxymoron to both the Queer and Christian community. However, this is what I am: a bisexual Christian. Defending both of those positions is normally an act of futility.

During this #PrideMonth, I am reminded how there is no hate like Christian love.

What I’m reading currently. It really makes me think about issues that our society faces and how to deal with those issues as Christ would.

Quote I read today: "You cannot take the DEI out of the Imago Dei."

This little snippet from “Queers the Word” really stood out for me: “But the Gospel is supposed to be good news for all people. Even for those who don’t believe in it or want to follow it.” @QTheology

This week has been difficult. I had a family member openly say that I was living in sin because of my orientation. I guess it should not have come as a surprise, but it still hurt more than I can adequately express.

#Faith is sometimes misaligned with not questioning. I feel that’s wrong. Faith should allow for questions and doubt. Faith allows for saying, “I don’t know.”

I lived in Germany for 10 years. Among German Christians, they often read from the #Losungen. These are Scriptures verses, picked at random for every day. I like the verse picked for this year: “Examine everything carefully and hang on to what is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21

I don’t make New Years #resolutions anymore. If I want to make a change for myself, I do it now. For me this includes discovering more spirituality after the loss of my Evangelical faith.

On the #bisexual agenda today, I try to conquer my own personal problem of not liking myself with a longer jog. It does make me feel better afterwards.
