Republicans are at war with life on earth. Democrats have “fought back” by marrying the heartland appeal of a HR department with the moralizing of Lisa Simpson. No one has stepped up to save us - so we will save ourselves. We’re kicking off a tour! New dates added. Join us!

Now that the storms are so huge that nobody can pretend they are "just weather," the woke right are all-in on "the gubmint is manipulating the weather." Somehow I don't think we are going to make it.

The 6th great extinction is ongoing and all the f&%king politicians ever talk about is humans. Is the planet's biosphere better off than it was 4 years ago? Are koalas better off? What about penquins, elephants, dolphins, crabs, bees? Is the Amazon better off? F&%king humans.

What is the difference between Covid and the flu? Some people die of the flu but most recover and don’t have lingering symptoms. Covid isn’t like that. Brain fog and vascular damage are common even in mild cases.

I work in the maritime industry and I would find it very ironic since we have spent billions of dollars removing sulfur from our fuel and upgrading our engines only to purposefully eject tons of sulfates later.

Yep

One of the wildest true conspiracies of our lifetimes is that plastic isn’t actually recyclable in any meaningful way and they all lied to us about it theguardian.com/us-news/2024/f…

Global sea surface temperatures are in “uncharted territory”. February on course to break unprecedented number of heat records. Don’t look up. 👀 theguardian.com/environment/20…

We talked about the #AMOC slow-down/collapse in grad school almost 20 years ago as a theoretical potential in the distant future (like 100+ years). I always expected the projected time frame should be divided by like 10.... And here we are ... #collapse

One of the substantial factors contributing to climate change is the fact that we have over 40,000 commercial flights per day in the USA. A sane country would implement robust rail service ASAP and reduce flights to near zero.

We have so many excellent technologies to gather together without getting on a plane.

Turbulence is getting worse because of climate change. Scientists have warned for years that it would. The media barely reported it. People are cynical. But this is really happening. Google it for yourself. It will only get worse. bbc.co.uk/news/science-e…

Big news from the latest ERA5 data. For the first time in recorded history, the 180-day running mean for the global surface temperature just crossed 1.70°C above the pre-industrial 1850-1900 IPCC baseline. The climate 8-ball says, "F&%kery ahead!"

So basically nothing has happened since James Hansen's paper in December 2022 telling everyone that the rate of global warming has doubled and the greenhouse gases already in the atmosphere heat the Earth to 10 degrees C above preindustrial. There's not even an inkling of the…

North Atlantic sea surface temperatures hit a record daily high on March 6, 2023. 325 consecutive days of record temperatures later, the North Atlantic is still setting daily records. It's f&%king insanity that the collapse of the planet is not the lead story every day.
