This summer I had the opportunity to attend The First World War: Past, Present, and Future put on by @FwwNetwork in Edinburgh. I was there to talk about jackpeirs.org a Digital Humanities project. It was great to talk to archives users. @jackpeirs #AskAnArchivist

#AuctionUpdate A collection of Captain Jack Marriott's letters, typescript and other ephemera give a remarkably vivid account of the atmosphere and personalities of the Armistice negotiations. These eye-witness materials achieve £15,000 at today's auction. #Christies #London

Maybe move onto WWII, this year being the 75th Anniversary of the Kohima Battle, often referred as the Stalingrad of the East, interest in the Burma Campaign in our region is picking up.

Summer is very much upon us, so what #WW1 texts will you be reading on a deck chair/sofa/lounger/beach during the coming months? Recommendations heartily encouraged!
