With the bill to reopen government signed into law by Prez Trump, NTEP will receive $250,000 recurring (every yr) federal funding, helping its bottom line. NTEP had relied on industry for 95% of its funding ...thanks to everyone that wrote support letters and helped this effort!

Honeybees will also come Centipeed grass spikelets. The spikelets also just produce pollen not nectar. #UGATurf22

Centipede grass has a large amount of pollen that helps with bees and serves as an alternative food source. 8-10 days after mowing spiklets produce pollen that attracts bees #UGATurfFD22

Plant path is looking for alternatives of how to treat different turf diseases. 73% of what they tested had some type of fungicide resistance. Therefore research is ongoing to find new and improved ways to treat Dollar Spot disease. #UGaTurfFD22


Plant Pathology is using nano bubble technology. A small pocket of gas that is used in irrigation water. Can be oxygenated and is very useful in water treatment and seaborn diseases. #UGATurfFD22
