NASA completed a wet dress rehearsal for the Artemis II mission in the early morning hours on Feb. 3. To allow teams to review data and conduct a second wet dress rehearsal, NASA will now target March as the the earliest possible launch opportunity for the Artemis II mission.…
Immense pride seeing the rocket reach 100% fuel load last night, especially knowing how challenging the scenario was for our launch team doing the dangerous and unforgiving work. The crew just shared a peaceful breakfast with our families and we jump back into training tomorrow…
Post-WDR news conference key takeaways: need to look at data before determining next steps and setting date for new WDR; if can't launch by end of March window, probably have to roll back to VAB to replace batteries in the ICPS. [fixing typo]
With the conclusion of the wet dress rehearsal today, we are moving off the February launch window and targeting March for the earliest possible launch of Artemis II. With more than three years between SLS launches, we fully anticipated encountering challenges. That is precisely…
When Artemis II lifts off the majority of the thrust will come from solid motors which include components with flight histories dating to the 1980's. One cylinder flew on STS-5 in 1982, when the crew members of Artemis II were in elementary school, or pre-school.
Due to weather, we now plan to fuel our Artemis II Moon rocket on Monday, Feb. 2, at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. With this adjustment, the earliest possible launch date is Sunday, Feb. 8. A launch date will be set after teams have reviewed the results of the wet dress…

On Jan. 10, two test stands at NASA Marshall – the Propulsion and Structural Test Facility and the Dynamic Test Facility – were removed by carefully coordinated implosions. The demolition of these historic structures is part of a larger project that began in spring 2022,…
Set for launch in 2028, NASA’s Dragonfly mission will explore Saturn’s moon Titan. And the work is underway to ensure that this first-of-its-kind project can fulfill its ambitious exploration vision. Read about the testing being done at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics…

New Glenn Update | Blue Origin
Blue Origin announced a series of upgrades to New Glenn designed to increase payload performance and launch cadence, while enhancing reliability.
NASA no longer has any astronauts assigned to Starliner-1. Scott Tingle was on the crew but has become chief of the astronaut office. Luke Delaney was also assigned, but has now moved to Crew-13, per a source.
We are now in day two of Musk’s attacks on Duffy. Musk is not wrong about Duffy’s experience, and this partly explains why the acting administrator does not engage in substantive space media interviews. Even so, this is remarkable.
The key messaging from Sheehy is that Sean Duffy cannot effectively run both Transportation and NASA. I believe that is correct. NASA really needs someone who understands the agency, its challenges, and can focus 100 percent on solutions.
NEW in the fight to resuscitate Jared Isaacman’s bid to lead NASA. Sen. Tim Sheehy, longtime friend of Isaacman, said he spoke with Trump at a Rose Garden lunch on Tuesday about the nominee, who was yanked in the spring. @ChrisMarquette_ @audrey_decker9 politico.com/news/2025/10/2…
The Wall Street Journal report confirms what I've heard about Duffy pushing for NASA to fold into the Department of Transportation. He's meeting with Senators. For him a win-win: he gets to take credit for NASA's success, but doesn't have to run the agency.

We are saddened by the passing of Jim Lovell, commander of Apollo 13 and a four-time spaceflight veteran. Lovell's life and work inspired millions. His courage under pressure helped forge our path to the Moon and beyond—a journey that continues today. go.nasa.gov/41tbrpq
