L.J. Mooney and Tanner Ludtke became the 44th and 45th #Gophers to record shootout attempts and the 11th and 12th Gophers to score shootout goals, respectively, all-time. Ludtke, Matthew Wood, Rhett Pitlick, and Garrett Pinoniemi scored college shootout goals for other schools.

After recording four assists in his first nine NHL games last season, Oliver Moore scores his first professional goal in his second game for the AHL's Rockford IceHogs. Moore is the sixth member of the 2024-25 #Gophers to score a goal in the pros.
Sam Rinzel becomes the 88th former Gopher to score an NHL goal. Rinzel joins Warren Miller, whose first NHL tally was scored on Dec. 3, 1979 for the New York Rangers, as the only #Gophers to score their first NHL goals against Montreal.
Last night, Tucson's Sammy Walker beat Ontario's Erik Portillo to score the first 2025-26 AHL goal by a former #Gophers player. Walker later assisted the game-tying goal with 22 seconds left in regulation and scored the game-winning goal in overtime.
