Leavitt: “The president is responding to the fact that Canada has been ripping off the United States of America and hard-working Americans for decades." Leavitts out there waving hand-held diagrams like it’s a grade-school show-and-tell, and I’m supposed to buy this? Oh, please.…

“…shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion”.

Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry (R) signs state law requiring the public display of the Ten Commandments in state public schools: “If you want to respect the rule of law, you’ve got to start from the original lawgiver, which was Moses." (2024)

Either the tariff policy works in promoting domestic production, in which case there won’t be sustained tariff income, or imports continue, meaning the tariffs will be paid by the US consumer. So, not sure who the “we” is that’s going to get rich, nor how.

Reporter: Are you worried about a recession? Trump: We’re going to take in hundreds of billions of dollars in tariffs and we’re going to become so rich, you’re not going to know where to spend the money

But at least he wears a suit, respectfully

Netanyahu, who is a fugitive from justice for the crime of imposing starvation on a civilian population, has just announced he will intensify his criminal spree

Says it all.

The Democrats fared better with the richest Americans than the poorest for the first time in decades. The Democrats are now the party of voters with high education and high incomes, the working class voted Trump.

If Russian leadership would rather not be accused of committing war crimes, they should stop bombing hospitals.

‘Responsible politics isn’t about doing what’s easy. It’s about doing what’s right.’ Glad to hear that. Now, what about the 2-child limit?

Responsible politics isn't about doing what's easy. It’s about doing what's right. That's why Labour will act where the Conservatives have failed by modernising, reforming and simplifying the outdated gender recognition law. Here's how ⤵️ 🧵 theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Protest is fundamental to democracy. People must have the right to oppose having an unelected head of state, or more than £100m of public funds being spent on a coronation when millions rely on food banks. These arrests should concern us all.

@Ryanair @RyanairPress You’ve changed my flight time (by 5 hrs). To make that work, I need to change a connecting flight (also you). You want a fee for that. You will give a refund, but only for the second flight. So, I’m out of pocket for a change you’ve made. Outrageous!

No comment necessary.

Tughendat MP, who played what I considered a sectarian card to please Irish TDs visiting Westminster ie emphasising his Irish family connections and that he is a Roman Catholic, has announced that he will try to become the new Tory Leader!!

Let’s all remember when voting next - & also anyone writing history of this period - all those claiming he “got the big decisions right”. Some are still continuing with this dangerous fiction. This crisis is about far more than personality or personal morality. #BorisOut
