This praise means a lot coming from Princess Ayşe, a great historian of her family's history. I highly recommend her book 'A Farewell to Imperial Istanbul'. The memoirs of Princess Ayşe's grandfather, Prince Ali Vâsib, were an invaluable source as I was writing my own book

I can not recommend this book more highly. Thank you @Imran_posts for the privilege of reading it pre publication. I learnt so much and applaud you for highlighting this fascinating page in the history of the Caliphate.
