Interesting! Here in Illinois, I feel like I see way more cleistogamous flowers than I saw in the East. It’s been hot here too & I did see some open Impatiens pallida while in the field today!
For various reasons, #PhenologyFriday tweets have been more sporadic than normal this year, but I’m out in the woods, looking at plants, and telling y’all about it today! It’s hot and humid, but the cicadas seem to be loving it and are buzzing away.
