What a horse shit call by the refs there. At worst, they should have said okay, no timeout taken, we'll march you back five yards for a delay of game. That of course though was a time out, and Smart should be reprimanded and fined if not suspended for that.

Sean McDonough and Greg McElroy try to make sense of Kirby Smart getting off the hook for calling a timeout here.

There's no quick fix 😂😂 It's year 4. Is this a 10 year plan? Half of the coaches hired at the same time as Billy Napier had their teams ranked in the AP Top 25 last week. Then there's Napier, needing more time.

Billy Napier: 'There’s no quick fix here. The best thing to do here is win. We saw that last week. In general, we have to stay the course here. We’re close.'

Mike Elko was hired at the same time as Billy Napier - but by Duke. He did well enough there to be hired by A&M, who he has in the Top 5 in his second season as their head coach. By any reasonable measure, Napier has been the second-worst head coaching hire in the 22 cycle.

With Florida losing 34-17 to No. 5 Texas A&M, Billy Napier fell to 4-12 against SEC opponents away from the Swamp. DJ Lagway went 21-of-37 for 245 yards, two touchdowns, and a fumble. UF was held to 1-of-11 on third downs.

Texas A&M has run the ball on 18 of its last 19 offensive plays.

Texas A&M goes over 400 yards of offense with back to back runs by EJ Smith.

Former Florida defensive line coach Sean Spencer is all smiles on the A&M sidelines.

Climbed the ladder ‼️ Jordan Castell, big time takeaway.

The defensive back hitting his hands on the ground. Not getting the pick there is better than getting the diving pick.

Castell with the HUGE pick in the endzone.

In another life….

Transfer Portal defensive lineman Cashius @2cashius Howell arriving for his Florida visit.

The ESPN announcer has jokes when it comes to UF trying to block Howell. Barber holding him like a grudge. The only thing keeping him off of Lagway is a restraining order.

Wilson has to disengage there. Big run by Daniels was wiped out.

Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett is expected to start Sunday in place of Kyler Murray, who is dealing with a foot injury, per me and @JFowlerESPN. Brissett will make his first start for the Cardinals against the Colts, a team he played for from 2017-2020.

After relentlessly harassing Arch Manning last week, Florida has no sacks and only one quarterback hurry tonight against Marcel Reed.

A&M kicks the field goal to go up by 10 points - 24-14. These last two drives have been more about Reed missing open receivers than the UF D doing anything special. We'll see if the offense can get on track here to keep it close.

Just like clockwork, a third and long screen. This time it's fumbled away, and the defense will need to step up again.

After the Miami game, Napier said that they scripted the opening drive of the second half (their only viable drive) during halftime. Maybe the Gator Nation has that to look forward to tonight.

Both sides got off to a fast start offensively, but then it slowed down, as Florida and No. 5 Texas A&M are tied 21-14. DJ Lagway is 13-of-22 for 141 yards and two touchdowns overall, but was only 2-of-9 on the Gators' last four drives of the half. UF is 0-of-6 on third downs.
