JNIM claims taking control of the headquarters of the Dozo militias in the town of Koura this evening, between Loulouni and Sikasso, one of the towns cleared by the Malian army during the operation to recapture Loulouni.
Credible reports indicate the Malian army retook control of Loulouni today following a combing operation started from Sikasso, clearing the villages all the way until Loulouni, it appears JNIM had already left when the army arrived.
Back when US forces were kicked out of Niger, I published this map showing what the loss of ISR would look like. As far as I can tell, none of the alternative bases on the map panned out, with the US sourcing drones from bases in Djibouti or southern Europe for West Africa ops.

This raises several questions, how did ISWAP target this convoy specifically, almost like they knew the Brigadier General Yu Uba was present, and why did the Nigerian army announce that he never went missing, a story which news outlets were seemingly pressured to publish.
The Nigerian Brigade Commander actually never came back to his base, so the army lied, and was executed by ISWAP after he fled into the forests and was caught by the terrorists, this is the highest ranking Nigerian army commander the group has killed in recent memory, or ever.
