Imām Ash-Shafi'i رحمه الله said: "When the people abandon you when you are in a time of distress, then know that Allah wants to take over your affair and [make you] suffice with Him as a guardian." إضاءات ايمانية ۲۹۸
It was narrated from ‘Aishah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “What a blessed condiment vinegar is.” (Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 4, Book 29, Hadith 3316)
Ibn Rajab (رحمه الله) said: Performing wudhu in the intense cold is one of the highest qualities of imaan. [Lata'if al-Ma’arif 372]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله “If Allah were to uncover for His servant the wisdom behind trials, his heart would melt in love for Allah because he would see that every hardship was chosen for him, not against him.” Madarij as-Salikin (2/215)
“And you feared the people, but it was Allah you were supposed to fear.” Quran [33:37]
Imam Shafi’i رحمه الله said: “Conceal your hardship so much so the people presume you are blessed and have an easy life.” [Manaqib ash-Shafi’i, 2/188]
The prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever increases his prayers for forgiveness, Allah will grant him relief from every worry, a way out from every hardship, and provide for him in ways he does not expect.” [Musnad Aḥmad 2234]
Hasan Al-Basri رحمه الله said "People are not pleased with their Creator although He provides for them; So how can they be pleased with another creation like themselves?" [Al-Bidayah wa'n-Nihayah. v. 9. pg. 318]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمہ اللہ said: “The TRUEST LOVE is when your love for SOMEONE MAKES YOU FEAR for their AKHIRAH more than YOUR OWN DESIRES.” [Rawdat al-Muhibbeen]
And whoever fears Allāh - He will make for him a way out. and provide for them from sources they could never imagine. And whoever puts their trust in Allāh, then He alone is sufficient for them. (Quran 62:2-3)
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: "Your soul is just like your enemy, once it finds you serious, it obeys you. If it finds weakness from you, it will take you as a prisoner. [Badā'i Al-Fawā'id | Vol. 3, Pg. 1202]
Umar ibn al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said: "Never say a person has good character, until you see how he behaves when he is angry & never say a person is righteous until you see how he controls himself when he is faced with temptations." [Ansab Al-Ashraaf | 10/331]
Trust Allah’s Plan “And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him.” — Al Qur’an [65:3]
“Whomever Allah shames, there is none to honor him.” Quran [22:18]
One of the Salaf said: “Indeed, from the greatest of sins with Allah after Shirk is to mock people.” L [رواه أبو نعيم في الحلية ٤/٥١]
Tawakkul is such a beautiful concept. Everything around you could literally collapse but if you trust that Allah will protect you, no harm can come to you. You trust in His planning, better than your own. You trust that He will guide you towards what is best, again and again.
