RUMOR CONTROL: No permit/special pass is required to travel around Galveston County. People are allowed to travel freely around the county to their essential businesses and essential activities. You can find a copy of the "Stay at Home Order" at galvestoncountytx.gov.
JSC is Open at Stage 3 and only mission-essential personnel whose duties cannot be done remotely should be on site.
JSC moving to Stage 3 status tomorrow. Gates will be operating in normal weekday config for now. May adjust to weekend mode config after we see traffic load. Normal config for now.

At 1:09 p.m. rainfall at @NASA_Johnson since midnight is 0.93 inches. Rain rates at JSC have been around 1.25 in/hr which typically results in only nuisance & minor street flooding & ponding of water at JSC. Rainfall at NASA Ellington Field is up to 1.02 inches as of 1:10 p.m.
We're closely monitoring the weather situation in Houston. @NASA_Johnson remains open at this time. We are aware some local school districts have implemented an early release. Please assess your situation & check in with your supervisor to discuss whether you're able to telework.
