Since the British Government has made a total Horlicks of counting Covid cases, perhaps we should move back to Covid deaths, which even the government can't screw up (I think). The seven day moving average of Covid deaths is 51. 51 too many. But hardly a pandemic.

To those who complained when I described 122,000+ tests stat on Friday a propaganda number: May 1: 122,000+ tests May 2: 100,000+ tests May 3: under 80,000 tests No doubt no of tests will ramp up again. But for now this is one curve government really has flattened. I thank you.
It really doesn't matter whether anyone believes the target was met or not. NB. 1. Prof Newton says the way things are counted hasn't changed. 2. A week ago 28k tests were done. Whether you think 122k or 73k were done yesterday, everyone working on this deserves praise.
