The Senate just broke the filibuster 60–40 to move forward on reopening the government. Progress, but it’s not over yet another Senate vote, then on to the House. We need to get our priorities straight for the American people. 🇺🇸
It’s been 39 days, the longest shutdown in recorded history! The Senate is in a procedural vote to end the shutdown. A new stopgap measure to extend government funding until January and be part of a larger package that would fully fund several top agencies.
