Interesting week after bicycle crash on Sat. on gravel road in MI. Sprained right hand a lots of road rash all over left side healing well.
Good track workout today with @TrainEveryday. 1000, 800 moderate, then 5x200 fast, short rest up to 65 sec. per interval, 800, 1000.
Back online after a summer break with the family. Lot's of fun training/racing in the past week.
Back from the track: 800x2, 5 min. rest, 800x2, ~2:40 pace. The middle 5 min. was tageted to time lactic acid buildup for the second set.
Test rode a Felt and a Scott road bike today as I look toward #triathlon. Looking hard at the Scott CR1 Team and will ride it on Thursday.
@birdmanesq Humidity causes your body to dump less extra heat via sweat. Be careful and run as if at a higher temp. Check out "heat index"

As an experienced runner getting into tri with no bike experience some recommend starting with a road bike instead of tri. Is this typical?

Got my first set of Jammers for Fathers Day. Feel like a real swimmer but also like I should wrap a towel around me on the pool deck.
1250 yards in the pool this morning as cross-train/recovery after 15 mi. yesterday. I think I'll push distance for Monday swim from here on.

Ran 6.04mi in 41:58. A faster than I intended but should help slow down the long run tomorrow.
Rest today, 1mi slow + stretch. Type "A" personalities need to mentally approach rest aggressively and use it to power up the next workout.

I hear you @madman2, gotta rest with the climbs you do. Think of the rest as mental focus time to improve the quality of your next outing.
Great swim today, 1k yards. Won't match my running but is at least past the flail/gasp stage on the way to #triathlon. Track tonight.
