Hi @Tesla any chance we could fix the bug where sending a destination to the car from the app when it’s in valet mode results in command failed? It’s obviously right to fail but the error message could actually say why.
I always love seeing who has forked my Covid-19 hack project ssosync... turns out @Tailscale and @NotionHQ! Wow! That's so damned cool. One day, I'll write up how I caused a ? email with that project inside Amazon when I surprised the SSO team with its release.
I’m genuinely confused when Labour says they haven’t broken their manifesto… manifesto says they won’t increase income tax. Says it pretty clearly. But they 100% have if you read the HMRC tax free savings newsletter.
Turns out @Akamai salespeople are ambulance-chasing after the @Cloudflare outage... constantly hounded by their sales drones. Which is only reallllly funny because we use @fastly ...
Someone has declined the invite. You have been returned to the front of the queue. (cue: constant NOISE from WoW)
My ARC Raider experience this evening... (credit: reddit.com/r/ArcRaiders/c…) but hey, Scrappy is upgraded!
Everyone calling the AWS outage a 'timing issue' or 'concurrency is hard' is forgetting that yes, those things are super super hard. You know what's not hard... validation. My question isn't about concurrency... mine is... why was an upstream service happy to receive 'null'...
Is it just me, or did today’s incident leave @awscloud looking unsettlingly perplexed by the emergent behavior of their own systems?
I see that @github just likes to go full dark pattern now. Good to know. Look I love AI tooling but let’s not resort to horrid dark patterns of getting to charge more. Not okay.
So I get I’m going against the grain here for many but… bar a few bugs, I massively prefer the new Liquid Glass UI. The unlock animation is probably a bit too slow. But I’m finding everything a lot clearer to read and use.
Absolutely nobody: enp196s0 Who else misses good old eth0?
It's important to remember that "technology influencers" can be bad role models. Many encourage people to be "fans of technology" instead of actual developers of technology. Hot takes are easy, writing good code is not.
The Windsurf news is oddly familiar—it echoes exactly what happened to TweetDeck during the Twitter acquisition: deals collapsing, drama running wild: same playbook, different actor. History loves repeating its punchline.
That moment when you're using Claude Code (Opus-4) and you run /compact, but 64% of the context is still used instantly.
If one must insist on cold-calling me 1. Please introduce yourself properly; you're not a friend of mine, and you're calling from an unknown mobile number. 2. Don't be rude to me, you interrupted me... not the other way around. 3. Send me an email to ignore; it's more efficient.
I realise I'm likely very late to the party, but the strongest prompt on @AnthropicAI's Claude Code for me today was 'I'm halfway through a rebase and have a merge conflict, please work out the best way to resolve it.' Opus-4 had it and worked it out the first time.
It seems like a service team at AWS was asking, 'How can we make more money?' ... I know we'll identify a "billing mistake."
