Keeping an eye on the case of Pastor Stephen Lee, Trump co-defendant in Georgia | MAGA doesn't belong in Confessional Lutheranism | Don't fall for propaganda

Pinned

Explainer thread: Stephen Lee, a retired pastor in the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod, was indicted in Fulton County, GA as part of a RICO charge involving efforts to overturn the 2020 election. What's he charged with? QT below explains.

"My name's Steve Lee, I'm a pastor, and I'm working with some folks who are trying to help Ruby out, and also get to some truth of what's going on." He wore his clerical and invoked his pastoral office to intimidate a woman at her home. Kyrie eleison. the-independent.com/news/world/ame…

Today the President of Concordia U Wisconsin/Ann Arbor notified stakeholders that 2025 will see the few remaining CUAA programs consolidated to the north campus. It’s hard not to see this as a prelude to selling the main campus, her historic manor house and the beautiful chapel.

@LCMSWatcher I think our church is up to its fetlocks in this endeavor. If one attaches the word classical, the tune sounds quite pleasant. Not unlike the damned who played pleasant 🎵 for the fellow damned departing certain train stations in Luther’s homeland.

Trump’s election means he won’t face trial in GA until 2029, if ever. But people are sleeping on the fact that during his presidency there could be televised trials of his co-defendants, with prosecutors presenting much of the same evidence they would’ve presented against Trump.

NEW: The Georgia Court of Appeals has canceled the Dec. 5 oral argument it previously scheduled to hear Trump’s appeal seeking to disqualify Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis. Argument is canceled “until further order of this court.”

This is a perfect example of how propaganda works. It is true they are Christian symbols but they were symbols used by CRUSADERS to justify their conquests. Think about how fervently you must believe that to tattoo it on yourself

The AP has a new "story" suggesting that Pete Hegseth was an "insider threat" because of "white supremacist" tattoos. What made the tattoos "white supremacist?" Because one is of a cross, and another says "Deus Vult" — "God wills it." The regime hates Christians far more than

If abortion really is *the* evil that Christians want to fight in the public sphere, now is the time to speak that truth to the incoming power.

He’s right about this. Unfortunately it’s already been pretty well established where pro-lifers are going to fall in the pecking order of the new administration.

Back when LCMS Lutherans could call this stuff out without fear of reprisal (yes, Dr Seuss was one of ours!)

Dr. Seuss knew what was up.

Tremendously disappointing, but at this point not surprising. The president of the LCMS has vitriol for a "biblically unfaithful" Minnesota Lutheran of the wrong party, but extends grace to a felonious serial adulterer because he belongs to the right party. Lord have mercy.

Wept at a message from a pastor's wife who is in genuine grief and despair at the prospect of a Harris administration. How did we get to a point where Christians believe we are currently unfree to practice our faith in this country?

This is heartbreaking. Church, our tolerance for lies is actively driving people out of the faith.

This is not Christian nationalism and actually helps Christian nationalism by feeding their claims that people oppose them because of their faith, rather than their anti-democratic views.
