Back to work after an amazing week in Köln. @asano_rie organized an amazing School, with the help of a handful of local students. Fascinating lectures by some of the best in their fields (@davidpoeppel,@ProfSimonFisher,@kateewatkins, @Sonja_Vernes,@cedricboeckx, & others).
Great time this week at the Cologne Spring School in language and music cognition. Delving in to the wonderful (slightly terrifying) world of linguistics and neuro-linguistics was a great prelude for my new adventures as PhD candidate in Germany #langmuscog19
Having a great time at the Language and Music in Cognition Spring School in Köln. Herculean dedication by @asano_rie and a great lineup (of both speakers and students) make up for the not so springy weather #langmuscog19
Huge thanks to @asano_rie for organizing a great ‘Spring’ school in Cologne this week; terrific group of students, with loads of excellent questions. A treat for me to listen to @Sonja_Vernes @kateewatkins @davidpoeppel @ProfSimonFisher #langmuscog19
A big thank you to @asano_rie for organising a wonderful spring school and for I toting me to speak at #langmuscog19! Lots of smart students and great questions on #bats! Well done for organising such a great program!
Thanks for @Sonja_Vernes and @cedricboeckx for very inspiring talks and stimulating discussions today! #langmuscog19 (1/2)
On Thursday at #langmuscog19 Etienne Koechlin talked about his fMRI and modeling works regarding cognitive control and Michael Arbib presented a construction-based approach to language and music evolution and claimed that syntax and semantics cannot be separated.
Thanks to Sascha Frühholz and Steven Brown for their talks yesterday! Sascha's talk was on neural basis of affective prosody and Steven presented his idea on the evolution of larynx motor cortex for speech and singing. #langmuscog19
