The majority of the British public support a ceasefire in Gaza and an arms embargo on Israel. The will of the British people must not be ignored. The Tories must now do the right thing.

☪️ Thank you to the Madina Masjid in Levenshulme for inviting me, @GwynneCllr and my office staff to the Unity Iftar. It was lovely to meet all the leaders at the mosque, to learn more about #Ramadan and to hear about the great inter-faith work they do with St Peter’s Church.
It was lovely to speak to residents today. Your councillors have picked up some casework to pass onto Highways, and of course, lots of support for Labour!
🇬🇧🇵🇰 Today’s Pakistan National Day and I attended the flag raising ceremony at the Consulate in Manchester. I spoke about the beauty of Pakistan & Kashmir, the deep friendship between the UK & Pakistan and the huge contribution that the UK Pakistani community play in our city.
🌹 Really great to kickstart my campaign for the next General Election in the new Gorton and Denton seat this afternoon. Door knocking in Longsight Ward found lots of support for @RahmanCllr and @AndyBurnhamGM on May 2nd and for a @UKLabour Government when the time comes!
Following the horrific dumping of rubbish in the alleyway between Stovell Avenue and Damien Street, the area has been cleaned. Recognising the urgency to stop this recurring, we met with senior @ManCityCouncil staff today to discuss preventative measures. @AfzalKhanMCR
More than 1 million people in Gaza are at risk of famine due to being cut-off from life saving aid. With more nations reinstating funding to UNWRA, it is encouraging to hear the Govt has confirmed that UK funding has resumed but this must be extended beyond April immediately.
