Absolutely delighted that Shaff has been appointed to the Lords - he'll do an amazing job. He was out delivering thank you leaflets for me in the wind and rain when he found out, just goes to show how hard a worker he is! Truly excellent news!
I’m delighted that Shaffaq Mohammed will be joining the Lib Dem team in the House of Lords. @ShaffaqMohd has dedicated his life to youth work, public service and local government. He will be an excellent peer, standing up for young people, our environment and for Yorkshire.
So much for pushing for more compensation for @WASPI_Campaign , after letting down pensioners over Winter Fuel , young families with the 2 Child Benefit Cap, NI increases and Farmers Tax, it’s clear that you can’t trust @Keir_Starmer & @UKLabour MP’s to keep their promise, #WASPI
After the supreme effort of campaigners, today's report is a long overdue acknowledgement that the DWP failed #WASPI women. But the recommended compensation of £1000-£2500 isn't good enough. They are owed far more. I'll continue to push for fair compensation @WASPI_Campaign

Kemi Badenoch being elected as the Conservative leader shows that the tories have abandoned the centre ground. There is a gaping hole in British politics for a party that is economically liberal with a social conscience. The Liberal Democrats should fill that gap.
It's been a wonderful day chatting with local residents, listening to their concerns and views. People across the ward are already sick of Labour, and are voting for a fresh face and a fresh start with myself and the @SheffLibDems team.

If @UKLabour really want to sort the growing number of deaths in the English Channel and the migrant flows across Europe it should help tackle the issues at source. International Development is prevention, not just a sticking plaster policy

Descriptors of "left" and "right" when it comes to policy shouldn't be the aim of policy making. We should make policy founded on liberalism that is based in evidence and pay less attention to where it falls on the spectrum. Voters prefer a party that is honest to itself
