47% of those on low incomes who are not in receipt of benefits are already going without essentials or food. More than 1 in 5 can’t afford to keep their home warm. We need a comprehensive package to protect people on low incomes from rising energy bills bit.ly/3PQHjM7

Today's @CPSUK figures show that we seem to be going in entirely the wrong direction for #DomesticAbuse victims when it comes to criminal justice. I want to see any new Government get to grips with this very serious problem before it gets any worse. domesticabusecommissioner.uk/todays-cps-fig…

They say a picture says a thousand words, but this amazing photograph only needs to say one 💚 In 1982, #Plymouth celebrated its city’s volunteers with a gathering on the Hoe promenade, where hundreds of volunteers stood together to form the word PEOPLE 🙏🏼

The Government is currently consulting on plans for a #VictimsLaw. To get this right, they need to hear directly from victims and organisations working with victims. Make your voice heard.

The superb Community Team at @BulbUK explain how the Economic Abuse Evidence Form helps organisations to prioritise the wellbeing of victim-survivors. Debt advisers & creditors are invited to find out more at our #EAEF intro session on 3rd Feb: bit.ly/eaefinfoday

Do you know what end-to-end encryption means? It could mean social media platforms no longer being able to detect cases of child sexual abuse and no longer being able to report it to the police. Retweet to raise awareness of the dangers of end-to-end encryption. #NoPlaceToHide

Fabulous response and great to work with @ourplymouth for our recent #volunteer advert thank you. #volunteers #makeadifference

On Friday we listed an opportunity to #volunteer with Barnardo’s Plymouth Young Carers @BarnardosPlym Today we had to pause that recruitment as it looks like we have enough applicants already. #Plymouth #volunteers are #awesome #ThankYou @LisaSandercock for trusting us

Co-parenting with an abuser places huge pressure on victims. Abusers sabotage everything they can. Anything that can be leveraged, will be. From the kids drop off time to financials, it results in what looks like 'conflict' to the untrained eye, yet there's a clear protagonist.

Trying to co-parent with a person who chooses to use coercive control/domestic violence against you can be like trying to put up a tent in gale force winds. Everything good you do they tear down, and their relentless pressure makes it all 10 times harder than it should be.

This is exactly what the misuse of parental alienation ideology creates. It effectively criminalises victims of abuse, just for REPORTING IT! and sentences them to live a life of neverending misery. It has to STOP.

Really shocked at hearing the Keyham incident unfold tonight. I hope all friends & colleagues are safe and alright. Thoughts with everyone affected xx
