My father came to this country at 17, knowing almost no English, to escape poverty and persecution. When I speak to young immigrants, I see in their faces my own father who, if he arrived in this country today, would likely be demonized by the Trump administration.
Today they are coming for the immigrants, and we all must speak up. They are coming for the Muslims, and we all must speak up. And whenever they come after another group, we must all speak up.
