Totally agree. The industry is constantly hand-wringing over how PR is perceived and how to legitimize the profession, but somehow always manages to throw itself under the bus. I think it's at least partly because PRs are desperate to distance themselves from the bad rep

Today feels like a good day to share this. Most PR's I know are awesome at their jobs. Sharing neggy emails from journos is often done for lolz or by those looking for assurance that they're not alone. You're not. But it's time we stood up for ourselves prdaily.com/its-time-for-t…

It's time for the PR industry to stop with self-loathing and demand better - PR Daily

The long-held tension between public relations and journalism is reaching toxic levels. Fixing it starts with PR professionals having the courage to demand better.

I know I've only been a mum for 9 months now, but I really hate those threads that are parents sniggering at pregnant people with plans and hopes for when baby's here. Yes it's hard and plans may have to change, but the "haha you just WAIT, it's DREADFUL" comments feel nasty.

The baby is eight months old and @SamWPsychology is still sending me passive aggressive pregnancy announcement TikToks because she's still not over the way I told her I was expecting - will I ever be forgiven?!

Celebrating Taylor Swift's birthday by watching the video of me in labour watching Rep tour and explaining the red scarf drama to the midwives and refusing to stop talking whilst having a contraction because I was too involved in the discussion

🕷️ Right, this is absolutely doing my head in at baby groups because I keep hearing a different version. Is it:

Baby's first protest. Inspiring to see so many people turn out in Manchester today for @PregnantScrewed #MarchOfTheMummies

Really thought I wouldn't be one of those mums that send everyone thousands of photos of the baby all the time, but this morning the group chat received five photos just of him eating his first omelette so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Friends fear she is decorating cupcakes again

Oh, wow. I'm crying.

I wrote about something that happened to me on holiday. It's very short, and it's called The Carousel. I would love you to read it. mariannehlevy.medium.com/the-carousel-e…

Me sobbing "how could you?!" at 8.5 months pregnant because @rickBithell got me a McDonald's milkshake but no fries

Brands: no one needs you to email to say how sad you are about the Queen. Unless you’ve got something you actually need to announce - like you’re closing for the day or something - then you’re falling squarely under annoyance/inappropriate newsjacking. Stop it.

My five month old, who has "watched" all three seasons of The Boys during night feeds, agrees
