BREAKING: Ms. Buckner, the warden of Missouri Correctional Center, was fired following a drug and contraband investigation. The Missouri Department of Corrections must prioritize accountability and work to rectify deadly conditions at SCCC.
In September, a federal jury awarded $50 million to our client, Marcel Brown, who was wrongfully convicted and served 10 years in prison. This ruling marked the largest financial award for a wrongful conviction case in U.S. history. chicago.suntimes.com/police-reform/…
Our client, Timothy Finley, was in a severe mental health spiral when prison officials put him in a windowless cell alone for 3 months. In May, the Sixth Circuit decided to allow his case to proceed. This ruling was a victory for Mr. Finley and others with psychiatric needs.

In May, we secured a win for Mr. Thompson, who seeking relief against an officer who fabricated evidence and initiated the charges against him. The ruling vindicated Mr. Thompson and cleared the path for his malicious prosecution claim, setting a precedent for future cases.
For nearly two years, our client spent between 23 and 24 hours every day in solitary confinement. In February, a court affirmed that 30 days in solitary confinement amounts to an atypical and significant hardship requiring meaningful procedural protections.
