In 30 years of a General Internal Medicine practice, I probably dealt with DKA a handful of times....my Residents now see it weekly. If noncompliance, why so? Is the inpatient/outpatient bridge broken? Is insulin prohibitively expensive? Has diabetic education disappeared? JGW
