Masking and COVID safety are “unreasonable” to abled people. But for someone already disabled by COVID, the CDC’s advice is simply to practice perfect COVID safety- forever. Is masking unreasonable? Or is this situation unreasonable? My latest: thegauntlet.news/p/beyond-all-r…

May the memory of the 250 journalists murdered in Gaza be honored in the **Genocide Museum** that must be part of the reparations program owed to the Palestinians, when the genocide actually ends. PS. Deleting a killed journalist's account is to kill them twice.

All of which are vulnerable to GUV, which would stop or slow spread until vaccines can be formulated. But no one will implement or stockpile it. You can't really have a meaningful rapid response to modern biosecurity threats without GUV. Everything else is just closing the barn…

My view: our 4 big National biosecurity vulnerabilities due to MAHA pseudoscience. 1. Next catastrophic respiratory infection pandemic: CoV/zoonotic flu 2. Yellow fever/arboviruses TX Gulf Coast 3. Return of vaccine preventable illness 4. Bioweapons attack by Russia Iran N Korea

I'm going to be a bit vulnerable in this thread, which is for the people who care & have been failed by public health. I care deeply about people, and it saddens me to see masks with an apparent poor fit, especially when I know the person is trying their best to stay safe 1/12

Directional UV is great for fast surface sanitizing, but TBH a little spritzer of HOCL is better. Most people are using Far-UVC for aerosols- and for that, you want as omnidirectional as possible. Not only is 50mW of defused (wide) UV light more effective than 50mW of focused…

Nice. I actually like directional light for my daily uses (like 180deg max) but 350 could be cool too. Worried about bulb exposure to cracks in purses. How is the size coming along? Same or more compact than torch 1? Portability & discretion was one of the biggest pub. pluses.

Slight hitch- I'm going with gold contacts on the replaceable Far-UVC excimer bulbs to prevent corrosion- and gold prices are through the roof. It will make bulbs a little more expensive, but still a fraction of the cost of what we pay now per hour per milliwatt or 222nm output.…

Pic of the Torch 2 new replaceable bulb. No more throwing out the entire fixture each time the bulb dies (Yes, it's nuts, that's how basically all Far-UVC emitters work, yes, the industry likes it this way, which is why researchers and whitepaper AI slop mills ignore the issue).…

1/2 Important thread from @RogerGustafsso2 "The best way to protect our kids from these long-term neurological risks is to prevent infection in the first place.." 🎯 Solutions are key. Great to see Far-UVC mentioned, as this is the most efficient/effective option.

1/ A new study on #LongCovid in children shows worrying results. Researchers found a strong link between persistent neuropsychiatric symptoms (like headaches, dizziness, and memory issues) and changes in brain volume, specifically in the temporal and subcortical regions.

Anyone remember Nukit and Sara (@amethystarlight) being accused of being anti-Black, bigots, etc a while ago? 127 pages of analysis later.... TLDR? The title of the report says it perfectly "Crowds conned into attacking two women scientists"
