Great to see a number of Kent MPs campaigning for a district tier system. With Kent infection rates inflated by Swale & Thanet it seems unfair that businesses & communities in Canterbury should suffer with Tier 3. Such a shame that the Canterbury MP has not done the same.

A group of us across medicine, academia and other areas have come together and sent this letter to the PM and his team. Professors Heneghan, Gupta and many others - a wide range of voices as this crisis affects everything. We desperately need a rethink to find a better balance.

Normally, empty car parks would be disastrous for our seaside towns on a day like this. But not today. This was the scene at Gorrell Tank and Neptune car parks this lunchtime. A tiny number of cars parked in total. #kenttogether
