Watching @BBC #reportedmissing and cannot get my head round why you would transport a 136 patient in a police van which is following an ambulance? Dignity gone out of the window? Treating those with mental health concerns as we treat criminals? @Glos_Police
Just heard of police officer being assaulted last night. Prisoner who was also under arrest for a public order offence let go from custody as soon as they arrived as the necessity was no longer there. Not sure what type of message this sends? Assault police = doesn’t matter.
This sums up my shift and my colleagues pretty well tonight...
First night of freshers week in a busy city centre and I’m single crewed on foot outside the busiest nightclub with not another officer in sight... let’s hope it doesn’t go tits up.
When your sergeant on your reasonably new response team asks you if you have any ‘special skills’ they need to know about apparently it’s not the time to confirm you are in fact batman.
So the night shift on foot patrol has just been like herding cattle from one place to the next until one bull looks at another bull’s cow for too long and then lock horns. Maybe not the best analogy. All officers off on time and in one piece though.
Surely “go stand behind the PM” isn’t a lawful order. I would definitely be refusing to be any part of this clown show. I’m advised (by one in the photo) that these aren’t even attested officers yet and already being used for publicity stunts.
Following on from my tweet yesterday it’s great to see there are still some good eggs out there!
Walking around the supermarket to get my lunch and the amount of comments made behind my back about paying their taxes for me to just go shopping... Do I deserve a lunch break on a 7am - 4pm shift???

As I sit here having my £3 tesco meal deal at 10pm instead of a Sunday dinner with my family at 6pm I can’t help but wonder if policing really is for me anymore? Rushed off my feet constantly with barely 5 minutes to scoff a stale wrap down my throat.
2 high risk missing people from hospital in the last 2 days and we have found both not only in the grounds but outside the front entrance.... Something tells me they need to hire new security who can operate their CCTV systems!
Shouldn’t have had that dominos earlier, still in a food coma but starting work in an hour 🤮
Worked with a special last night, they said the Q word within first hour of night time economy. Last (planned) hour of the shift sees the team lock up 5 people for affray, drunk and disorderly and assault PC Whole shift work on an hour over, other than the special who jinxed us
