this log used to be a riverside willow. it fell in a storm a few years ago, and when i went to investigate, i found it a third of a mile downstream. that's the furthest i have ever known a tree to move without human intervention

tree inspectors, if you see decay in a tree and immediately conclude that it is dangerous and needs to be removed without any further analysis, please either get some more training or change profession
