As a business owner, it is imperative that you understand your duty of care and legal implications of trees on your property. If you are in any doubt, reach out to a professional arboriculturist or tree consultant. Cases like this one are easily avoided. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Sometimes tree surveys take place in the most challenging weather conditions and the most drab locations. Today, was not one of those days. A glorious morning spent at Camping and Caravanning Club’s Inverewe site.

One year ago today, @CallophrysTree Consultancy was born. I've been fortunate enough to be involved in a large number of interesting projects in the first 12 months. I'm forever grateful to everyone who has supported @CallophrysTree Consultancy in one way or another. Thank you.

A day off yesterday. However, I shadowed Alan Motion MBE on a tree walk around Dunkeld and Birnam. I even got to witness Alan perform Macbeth (albeit an abridged version) under The Birnam Oak. Not all professional development needs to be formal.

After the glorious weather of late, today was somewhat of a shock to the system. Nonetheless, spent the morning on site at Huntershill House, Bishopbriggs inspecting impressive beech trees, like this fella.

Tree inspections in Scotland aren’t always in picture-perfect shortbread tin vista surroundings. Yesterday's assignment saw @CallophrysTree Consultancy inspecting a stand of trees adjacent to a Lidl car park in Bellshill.
