Agreed @MWConcussion - most patients when told by the ER that their head CT scan was normal, feel that they have a mild #concussion or none at all. But concussions are microscopic damage to the brain that cannot be seen on CT scans or MRI’s. This has to be explained to patients.

The emergency room is important to rule out a more life threatening set of injuries. In other words - ‘you’re alive. Get out.’ But what happens after a few days and I’m not better (or even worse)? It’s time to get evaluated for a concussion! #Concussion #MWConcussion
