Today our Crime Prevention Division held a Business Improvement Districts Event with our local businesses in the @nypd109pct to discuss Crime Prevention methods on increasing security & offering free Security Site Surveys to businesses & homes.
Our Crime Prevention Division is out in Queens at New World Mall handing out helpful fliers with information to prevent pickpocketing and phone scams. @NYPDnews @NYPDPC @NYPDChiefOfDept
On Friday, a bodega worker was shot and killed in the @NYPD19Pct. The incident is connected to a citywide robbery pattern. We are committed to finding the suspect & protecting the small businesses of New York City.

While at the @NYPDTraining Police Academy today, I had the privilege of speaking with the recruit class set to graduate next week. This young, dynamic group is ready to begin their journey with the NYPD. They have worked hard to get here & we are counting on them! #StepForward

For our 637 newly minted Finest who graduated the police academy today the milestone is tremendous — the accompanying responsibility is infinitely more so. They took a #StepForward, met the challenge, and are now part of a storied history of service & sacrifice. Grateful to them!
