Depends on the AI. The idea years back was AI to aid the worker in more efficiency saving the company money which can lead to a short workweek. The way people are looking at it is the negative way. why things are not going as it should.

The NY Times has not been paying attention. Here they focus on unemployment, but that is the tip of the problem. As far back as 1990, approximately one third of college graduates have been persistently underemployed, that is working in jobs that do not require a degree.
