Perhaps this is obvious thing, countries with low economy doesn't ha e proper technology and infrastructures for waste management. In western these are not waste they are source of energy/gas. They have invested massively on land fill and the waste collection framework is clear.
The @UNEP Food Waste Index Report published in 2021 found that in nearly every country that has measured food waste, it is substantial, regardless of the income level of the country. Lower-middle-income countries have higher waste rates than countries with higher income levels.
