I've just resigned as external examiner at the University of Bath. Thanks to @DrJoGrady and @ianpacemain for raising awareness of inhumane treatment of Bath students during their occupation of the VC's suite. @UM_UCU @UCUBath @ucu #ucustrikes #USSstrike
Recap: @UniofBath blocked entrance to the only toilets available in the occupied area. Access to sanitation was used as leverage to bring an end to a peaceful protest. For 21 hours, 10 students, 4 of them female, were forced to urinate in plastic bottles in full view of security.
When university staff took the brave decision to go on strike, they knew it would mean losing pay. In response to this, students have put together a fund to help - an incredible showing of solidarity. Give what you can for @StrathclydeUCU: youcaring.com/strikingstrath…
