The Fall Line is an ancient geological feature. Lined by a string of waterfalls, it divides the hills of the Piedmont region from the Atlantic coastal plain. Now, the line is a near-perfect boundary between left-trending & right-trending areas in Metro Philly. Why? A thread:

PENNSYLVANIA is now the first state with multiple Democratic House members to have the majority of its House Democratic caucus cosponsor the Block the Bombs Act (Lee, Scanlon, Dean, and Evans) congress.gov/bill/119th-con…
Don’t tread on me. 🐍

Since I was elected, my Republican colleagues spew how they are repulsed by “SEPA’s spending.” I just circulated a memo that would ensure that each region in PA funds its own schools, transit and police using their own resources. See below the proposed (not final) regions ⬇️

i put my blood sweat and tears into this

Shapiro BADLY wanted to burnish his resume with a 60-40 landslide. At the very least, Garrity running should deny him that pleasure.
My working theory of Shapiro is that his goal is to win 60% of the vote in 2026. There’s plenty I dislike about his platform, but I appreciate that unlike most moderate Democrats, he views progressives as coalition partners, not voters to take for granted.
Susquehanna County exemplifies the concept of "outside Philadelphia" better than, arguably, the majority of Pennsylvania

I think it's worth commending @DwightEvansPA for choosing to step down early enough to allow for a full and robust primary process to play out, rather than doing so at a time that would have let ward leaders hand pick the nominee for a special election.
U.S. Rep. Dwight Evans announces his retirement from Congress in 2027. Evans, who suffered a stroke last year, said he’ll serve out his term, but won’t seek reelection. The announcement sets up the potential for a crowded race to fill his seat in 2026. inquirer.com/politics/dwigh…

This is a Pennsylvania account so I’ll just say that the primary for PA-3 could be quite interesting

A dear friend of mine is from Deir Dibwan. It's an absolute indictment on the State of Israel that it permits terrorism like this, over and over.
"An Inquirer analysis of preliminary election results shows that Krasner won 78% of the vote in majority-Black wards, 56% in majority-Latino wards, and 52% in majority-white wards" inquirer.com/politics/phila…
HARRISBURG, Pa. (@AP) _ Progressive stalwart Larry Krasner wins Philadelphia’s Democratic primary for a third term as district attorney.
With 35% of precincts reporting, Krasner looks to be replicating his 2021 coalition powered by Black voters across the city plus white neighborhoods outside the Northeast

In a matter of months, Central Pennsylvania goes from 0 Democratic Senators to 2
Huge congratulations to @MaloneForSenate for flipping SD36!! You and your team did an amazing job! See you in HBG!

I do know politics is not a spectator sport, but truly PA elections twitter is a wonder. Every other state is jealous of the people we got x.com/PAMapper/statu…
The last time Lancaster County elected a Democrat to the Pennsylvania Senate was in 1889, when John S. Hoover won a special election. 136 years later, James Malone joins the club.
