Not sure if anyone has noticed but Black American issues have just disappeared from the mindshare of politics. I don’t even see Black left wingers talk about it as much anymore. You see commentators like Ta-Nehisi Coates, Candace Owens, or Van Jones talk more about Israel.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Alex Karp (CEO of Palantir) ever talk about being Black or how he’s the biggest Black name in Silicon Valley. He seems to identify more as Jewish. The US is rapidly undergoing Brazilification when it comes to racial issues and how groups identify.

The 2010s were the swan song of Black American politics, climaxing in the summer of 2020 and George Floyd and the Black American contribution towards electing Joe Biden. After that all the energy left the system. On the biracial thing, this has been building for awhile.

You don’t even see white nationalists talk about it as much either these days. It’s just shocking how it disappeared from both the left and the right.

They went too far. Deal was here’s money now shush and chill. They kept pushing, to point the deal was almost rescinded. No money. So their handles pivoted. Blacks will chill now. For a while.

Coates was never pro-Black. He's just pro whatever is popular with leftists at any given time. Which is why he's pro palestinian now but was pro-reparations awhile back. But actual pro-Black intellectuals like Claud Anderson get minimal attention from even other Black people.

Attention is a scarce resource. Trends in politics come and go like in every other field.

Black in America is going through a transformation. East and West Africans are replacing the old 20th Century black American identity. Blending African heritages with their experiences in America is creating a new diverse culture in America. Multiracial will continue.

I think there's just kind of a holding phase right now about what to do next. The 2010s democrats fumbled the ball so much and got Trump reelected so now its just back to the drawing board.

The "fatigue" bit is true to some extent I think, beyond just America becoming more multiracial everyone got sick of hearing about them after 2020 imho. Also we just live in chaotic enough times that there are other wild headlines besides theirs.

Semi-related but I believe the absolutely colossal and international megastardom of Taylor Swift is a signal that "white mediocrity" has once again become the default cultural mode of mainstream American cultural expression, domestically and internationally.

Coates, Coondace, Van are all selected and pushed by the media. Enough with defining what's going on based on the X algorithm.

Because both blacks and whites have found a new race to hate on - indians

Because Hispanic has replaced Black Americans as the second major minority group.

because BLM & Co. doesn't play well with 2nd-gen Mex-Americans. and 2+ gen Mex-Americans are where the votes are....and DC Dem pollsters wised up to that fact. DC Dems dumping the date who they first brought to the dance to grind w/the new Latina. lmao.

Zionism is going to bring down all the countries in the so-called West with it.
