If there’s one very valuable thing I can tell younger people it’s this one sentence, “The collapse never comes”. Ever since I’ve been young I’ve been hearing a million doom stories every year, “A massive global economic collapse is coming!” “The dollar is set to lose its…

Its especially painful for Asia, mostly South Asia + Southeast Asia + China, where a massive generation was told for their entire life that they would inherit cushy cozy air conditioned offices unlike their parents. The unfortunate news is there just aren't that many Tech +…

I told you guys. My wife is a wealthy widow with stage 4 cancer. We met on Facebook. I got a K1 visa to come marry her & got a green card afterwards. We are now living our best life in Atlanta while she undergoes chemotherapy & lives out her prognosis.
What the fuck do you actually do? because we know you're not in America for academics and you spend your time knowing Kenya and what goes on here more than even Kenyans at home? What actually do you do? when you're not posting from freeloading wifi?
Should we take over a section of an island and create a real world Jurassic Park there for tourism purposes?

The fact that India has never had a civil war or a military coup since its independence is as impressive as China’s economic development since the 1980s. No one else in South Asia managed to do that, and India has tons of fault lines that could have developed in that direction.
I will get mocked for saying but developing countries can learn far more from India’s development than it can from Poland’s development. India has to deal with challenging conditions that post-communist Poland has never had to face so it’s more relevant to developing countries.
I’ll give India this, It’s building subway systems at a 2000s China like pace, and this is also extending into airport construction as well. Mumbai opened a new subway line and an airport today. Mumbai in a decade or two might be considered the latest in a long line of…
Unknown facts of Mumbai Metro Line 3 🔸 Sahar Crossover won prestigious ‘Beyond Engineering of the Year 2023’ award 🔸 14 research papers published in World Tunnel Congress 🔸 More than 40 Awards won for Safety Performance by Contractors Pic Source - me 😇

There’s a weird pipeline in Asia where men come here from the West, wife up a woman, and then become an extreme nationalist for said country. I don’t know if these men are pussy drunk or whatever, because their wives usually aren’t political, but it’s very weird and I need it…
Alex Karp’s brother, Ben Karp, is an academic in Japan and it seems like his wife is Japanese. Funny tweet from him. Alex Karp’s hostility to China is somewhat not surprising from this angle lol. Lots of China hawks come from a Japan related background.

Not sure if anyone has noticed but Black American issues have just disappeared from the mindshare of politics. I don’t even see Black left wingers talk about it as much anymore. You see commentators like Ta-Nehisi Coates, Candace Owens, or Van Jones talk more about Israel.
I don't think about the poor.
What about the poor? How do you imagine they will live in 2045?
This is a very important tweet for two reasons. One, because robotics yada yada important you already know that. But because it highlights that Japan is still a MAJOR FUCKING PLAYER in this space. People like to often act as if China has entirely taken over the robotics…
🚨BREAKING NEWS: SoftBank is buying ABB’s robotics arm for $5.4B. If anyone still thinks industrial robotics is a sunset space, the market just answered and how!! Here’s the real picture: • Industrial arms remain the bedrock of automation. Every “reshoring” photo out of the US…

I mean if should be obvious to everyone with a brain that Singapore isn’t really actually neutral, But this pretty much should end any notion that Singapore will militarily hedge or is somehow leaving away from the American camp. Singapore is at the end of the day primarily a…

In 2045 your child will leave your house and sit in a fully self driving BYD Han Merlion. He will watch a Chinese interactive drama generated via TikTok while in the car where he will then also whip out his Oppo phone and go on his deepseek app, which will be fully in command of…
