As the school year approaches, Dr. Cowherd welcomed new teachers at Park Hill South High School for different trainings. A big Park Hill welcome to all of our new staff! #ParkHillProud
At 9 pm last night, PHHS was scheduled for football practice this am. Overnight, there was chatter about potential positive cases among athletes. Chatter this am is that athletes were sent home for the week. District will need clear policy and adherence to it to maintain trust.
Let’s hope kids and teachers don’t have to go through repeated starts and stops.

In a week that saw Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly announce she will order a delay to school reopening, the Missouri side of the metro might be coming to the same conclusion.

Hopefully a quick fix and not another unexpected expense for the district. This roof is less than a year old.
Summary of proposal for transportation services. Glad that driver reductions and cost savings are actually slightly more than originally planned. First Student has a less than stellar reputation with lots of people. Hopefully they can deliver a much better service.
A split vote, and then a second vote on a new motion for the same topic. Again, with a split vote. What’s the contentious issue??? Establishment of middle school football. Apparently more information to come at a future board meeting.
