Students from LEAD Innovation Studio prepared and implemented lessons for our PreK students earlier this morning. They read a book and did an activity with small groups of students. It was a great learning experience for the littles and bigs together.

Pop the Pig was a big hit with Mrs. Frerichs’ students this afternoon. Who knew this game involved concept application, fine motor skills, play skills of taking turns and so much fun! We were all laughing!

It is always exciting to see how our adults join in on play with the children. Play is purposeful. Play is productive. Play IS the work for young children.

We Wish You well is a calming ritual classrooms use to offer love and care for those not in the classroom and guide their day. This is a short clip of Mrs. Stolfus’ classroom.
How are you feeling? It is important in all our classrooms to recognize our emotions and learn how we can talk about feelings. Ms. West used a book and images to normalize feelings with students. They practiced how their body reacts and talked through situations together.
Students in Ms. Ballard’s class shared how they wanted to be greeted during circle time. They could identify a hug, handshake or high five. The Greeter Leader made it all around the circle so everyone was included. Hugs were the most popular greeting.
Students in Mrs. Rash’s classroom practice their letters with shaving cream. They made the straight lines down and across to make the letter T. What a great day!
