this long read @politico on the lengthy and detailed preparation by USA and allies for the Russian invasion is amazing - one lesson = Russia's economy will never recover: politico.com/news/magazine/…

$espr $verv GT If the delay to get to positive data is way too long, the economic value is what? Not much? That is the warning for gene (editing) therapy in the cardiovascular space I like $verv but I am concerned, in finance time is a tough taskmaster

I'm watching today's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices meeting. This is a slide that's previously been presented at ACIP, but I think it's very useful for understanding the issue of myocarditis. This is when it occurs without vaccines.

I'll keep saying it: we are moving from COVID inflation to CONFLICT inflation. Conflict inflation is going to be lower in headline going forward, but more painful for growth. You could sub out of used cars, home renos, fitness equipment. You can't sub out of food and energy.

I beg everybody to listen to @CroftHelima and her take on the geopolitical situation & the impact on energy (now & in the future);separately, I don't think this jobs number (+678K) was what goldilocks was looking for; in the words of Tom Cruise "we were inverted"(or soon will be)

Massive French study on school transmission should now put a stopper to the “no transmission in schools” U.K. mantra: transmission rates were higher in schools than community.

We fitted our model to test result data from pilot screenings in 683 schools during the 2021 spring Alpha wave in France. We found R=1.40(1.35-1.45) in primary and R=1.46(1.41-1.51) in secondary school, higher than Rt in the community in the same period. 3/
