Got very little done. Tried to get the lighting set up on a second stained glass window and its broken or I'm missing something.
Trying to get the light to interact and bounce correctly with little luck.
I completely forgot they added mega lights to unreal engine 5.5. I'm not using a decal anymore I'm just going to use real lights. The performance cost isn't to bad and much closer to real life. #ue5 #UnrealEngine
Didn't get much done today. Just made the decal have an offset feature.
Took forever to find out how to mask out the render target. If any one else is ever stuck searching online making a render targets background transparent use a oneminus node with the render targets alpha. #ue5 #UnrealEngine
Epics server were down most of the day so I couldn't log in so I didn't get as much done as I would have liked but I got it working much faster then I thought I would now I need to mask it out to only the stained glass. #UE5 #UnrealEngine #indiedev #gamedev #ゲーム開発 #ゲーム
I gave up on the stone building it was not designed modular so It was a huge pain to texture decided just to make something basic in ue5. Imported one on the stained glass meshes and found a spot with messing faces I need to fix. #UE5 #3DCG #gamedev
Trying to get substance painter to work so I can start texturing but its stuck at UV unwrapping. Might have to separate things out and do it piece by piece.
Had to remake my walls to get the windows to kind of fit.
Didn't get much done wasn't sure what do to do with the arch in the window. the colors are just place holders.
Scraped a few different designs and didn't get much modeling done. Here is a half finished one.
I think I have a decent pipeline to make stained glass 3d models now from inkscape. Just need to make a couple more I think. #3DCG #3dart #b3d #inkscape #3D
My pc fan was dying and making a weird loud noise today so I decided to replace it but it seems I replaced the wrong fan so I have to try again tomorrow. Didn't get much done on the stained glass lighting system just worked on a door.
Worked on getting windows 11 setting set up to my liking. Its not as bad as I first though. You can take edited screenshots with the print screen button which is nice. I also made tile roofing for the stone building now I just need to make the stained glass windows.
Just updated to windows 11 this shit sucks. I'm going to bed.

Didn't do much today. Cleaned my computer and taped part of of my chassis back together that was falling apart. Got the UI to update with insertion and withdraw.
Worked a little on fixing more bugs found in the recycle and crafting system. I also worked on a stained glass idea I had.
Fixed a display bug where multiple materials wouldn't show as inserted. I think I just have one more bug to fix. #UE5 #UnrealEngine #indiedev #gamedev #ゲーム開発 #ゲーム
Tried working on my recycle and crafting system to fix a couple bugs but I didn't leave enough comments on my blueprints so I'm stumbling around trying to piece everything together. Got a little bit done though. Still have a lot to do on documentation for it.
