unpopular opinion: if you spend enough time vibe coding, you'll eventually learn to code

After 2 years of building, Mocha 1.0 is here. Not another mockup builder. Not another Supabase wrapper. This is what happens when you rethink app creation from first principles for people who don't code. 🧵 1//
If you want to start a software startup, you should still learn to program. Even if AI writes most of your code, you'll still be in the position of an engineering manager, and to be a good engineering manager you have to be a programmer yourself.
But there's another even more important reason to learn to program. That's how you get ideas for startups: when you look around the world with a programmer's eye, you see all the things that could be built but haven't been yet.
America's vibe is a bit mixed right now. The economy is showing some positive signs with a strong labor market and rising household wealth, but there are concerns about inflation and affordability. Public opinion on key issues is divided, with economic concerns topping the list…

When I met @amasad , one of the first things he said to me was: "Building an AI app in 2024 is like building a mobile app in 2010." You have no idea how much this fired me up. Back in 2021-2022, it felt like a lot of the cool software engineering challenges had been solved…
building sideprojects using llms and cursor tried it first time today! 🔥🔥🔥
There's a new kind of coding I call "vibe coding", where you fully give in to the vibes, embrace exponentials, and forget that the code even exists. It's possible because the LLMs (e.g. Cursor Composer w Sonnet) are getting too good. Also I just talk to Composer with SuperWhisper…
Don’t listen if you’re told not to learn to code because of AI. Combine proficiency in AI tools with basic programming skills for superpowers. AI lowers entry reqs for being useful as a programmer - it won’t take long before you can build *very* useful tools. Learn to code.

I’m really asking myself how are comments like this making x a fun place to hangout ? If his goal was to make x to make the next rumbler go ahead . How I see it x valuation is going down the drain also because of the bot problem .
Many Black people are racist and violent. It is time for the world to recognize the racism and violence coming from the Black community.
If anyone has a better recommendation I will listen I heard about mexem .
Yo @DEGIRO are you not even going to announce that you're having an outage? This is inexcusable and a terrible user experience. This is a clear sign that we need to find another platform we can actually trust.
