Angles created by parallel lines cut by a transversal 😱 love this idea!

Okay, I'm thinking about geometry found on a keyboard. Some ?s can be: Find 3 letters that make an: acute/obtuse/equilateral triangle. Find two triangles that are congruent to each other. Find as many different quadrilaterals as you can. Any more ?s you can think of?

Sending prayers of comfort to children and teachers across Virginia and the nation who will not see each other again this academic year. Parents hug your kids a little tighter tonight for us and everyone check on your teacher friends. We are struggling and missing our students

PROUD TEACHER MOMENT- When you teach adult learners you celebrate success a little differently - for me yesterday was amazing as I saw TWENTY former students from @HenricoSchools @vcusoe and @urspcs enter the profession as year one teachers in HCPS! Good luck to all- SO proud

Good morning, my people. If you ever wanted to know whether someone actually believes in equity, inclusion, and social justice, observe their relationships with others and reflection they do about themselves. Moving forward requires unearthing. We got this. Forever and a day.

Genius

For tests, I dedicate the first 5 minutes to have students hold the tests and talk to their group about strategies (w/out pencils). This lowers their test anxiety AND when you walk around, you hear some of the richest math conversations. #iteachmath
