Have any payments nerds out there documented the ACH Window closing times for major fintech-friendly banks? For example, Evolve's cut-off is 6pmET - which is pretty early if you ask me (PNC's is 10pmET).

Wow - only 59 out 1,132 of m follows have Mastodon accounts. That's sad. Given my politics, I would have assumed at least half. If you haven't signed up because you're worried it's too much of a pain to re-create your network, may I suggest movetodon.org Get it done!

My father's cousin Don Luce died recently. The last ambassador to South Vietnam testified in Congress that Don "was one of the principal reasons the U.S. lost the war." A fine legacy - but only a small part of the man. A profile in quiet courage. consortiumnews.com/2015/02/05/fro…

I was raised by pacifists, but this is making me feel physically ill with rage. The 2nd Amendment was about self-defense, not terrorizing others. There is no possible common ground here. These people are why hate crime laws exist.

Ok - all you folks up in arms about Alameda's investment in Moonstone Bank: before blaming the regulators for not doing their jobs, please go read the Bank Holding Company Act's Control Rule /1 federalreserve.gov/aboutthefed/bo…

Assuming the Export Data feature starts working again, will it download all public data listed in the header of the accounts I follow (description, location, link, mutual follows? Or do I only get my account data and my tweets?

If you've learned anything this month, you know deep down that Tether's dominance - even if solvent - poses an unacceptable systemic risk to the crypto ecosystem. Imagine BofA with an 80% market share. Not your keys, not your crypto? Then why are you still holding USDT?

Absolutely brilliant.

Explaining to your family why they lost 95% with the crypto you told them to buy last Thanksgiving

Is anyone else’s “back” button broken on this thing? Every time I click into a thread, and click back into the main thread, or back to the original post in my feed, the app re-loads my timeline instead of taking me back to where I was before. Annoying as fuck.

Over the past several weeks, Ukraine Twitter has absolutely vanished from my timeline. Anyone else experiencing this?

The most likely reason FTX.US was audited in March 2022 was because it was a requirement for their state MTLs. coindesk.com/layer2/2022/11…

I notices this as well. What I don’t understand is how those entities managed to keep clean books / ops (at least enough to satisfy regulators), but that none of that discipline rubbed off on the parent.

Crypto fans often deride the sterner sorts of regulation emanating from the CFTC and SEC, but note that the only truly solvent FTX entities so far are the ones under the oversight of the CFTC and SEC. pacer-documents.s3.amazonaws.com/33/188450/0420…

In my line of work, we call this “aiding and abetting money laundering.” But then turning around and stealing the money launderer’s money? Chef’s 💋💋💋💋
