Here is my accutane (acne treatment) horror story. I didn’t have the best experience with accutane, the side effects were so unbearable; my skin was dry, my lips were pilling, I was getting a nose bleed every night and my mental health was in shambles.

this is how my social anxiety started and developed into depression, this made me unable to look people in the eye because i was so disgusted by myself, i still can’t do it but i’m making progress, today i barely get a single pimple thanks to accutane, it truly saved my life.

Acne showed me pepper in the past year. But look at God!! My last dermatologist visit was yesterday, after all kinds of interventions and then I finally got on Accutane (isotretinoin) for 6 months.

It is only now that I truly understand when they say, “everything happens for a reason” because my journey with acne was leading me to my purpose and it was the universe’s way of showing me that I can transcend something painful into something beautiful, powerful and impactful ❤️
5 months ago I i struggled with cystic acne , I was in so much pain I couldn’t touch my face ! I couldn’t even put make up on . I would cry everyday of how ugly I felt but thank you Accutane for this amazing journey I can finally say I’m a new me .
Long story short, Accutane. Severe cystic acne vulgaris. Long journey from June-Feb. Depression, suicidal thoughts, social distancing, appetite loss, aching body, dry skin, & hair loss. I’ve been through a lot these 8 months. Hated every single moment. Sorry for being ugly!
