Obviously, things are way more nuanced than either of these posts would suggest. Would be great if smart people discussed what they actually thought, rather than volleying dogmatic barbs back and forth like Bobby Riggs v. Billy Jean King.

But @elonmusk promoting and amplifying the voice of someone who arguably consistently incites hatred and violence, and trumpets extreme fringe POVs (even when he know they are false and misleading) is a detriment to the platform and society.
Sure, promoting twitter as a right/left fringe battleground will increase views, but is growing the largest media cesspool really what @elonmusk is excited to focus on?
